BE MORE INFLUENTIAL
join a committee
Are you ready to help redefine the face of aviation? Do you want to use your skills for good? Then PinkTails Aviation Academy wants to hear from you!
YOU CAN SHAPE HER FUTURE.
Have a little time to give? There are lots of opportunities to use your skills for good! We’re looking for grassroots volunteers willing to roll up their sleeves and make an impact.
Believing in the vision, mission, and values is appreciated since we need all the ambassadors for women in aviation that we can find.
2020 is the year to make the Academy dream a reality.
share the mission
In partnership with the Chief Engagement Officer, implement the 2020 marketing plan to foster awareness of the Academy’s mission. The committee will combine the cause with the marketing message that resonates with potential donors. Since we’re a start-up, low cost, high return marketing tactics that are measurable will be used to ensure the greatest reach and value. Through social media marketing, email campaigns, and the website, the crew will create inspiring and engaging content throughout the year.
cultivate relationships with impact
As part of the team working on the 2020 "Design the Engagement Experience" project, committee members will help create a philanthropic culture between the community and the Academy. Building relationships will begin to secure financial support and sustainability needed to creatively remove barriers and reduce the dropout rate for women who want to fly.
The crew will help create and manage donation opportunities including one-time and recurring gifts; pledges, matching, and planned gifts; and affiliate fundraising events. To show proper and timely appreciation, a donor gratitude and retention strategy will also be part of the project.
create the academy blueprint
The primary 2020 project for this committee will be "Build the Foundation." Working with the Chief Academy Officer and advisor(s), the committee volunteers will use their technical expertise to create design artifacts needed to secure the Academy location. If you have an interest in mechanical engineering, pre-construction services, or economic development, you'll have a great opportunity to work on this project from the ground up.
develop best practices
PinkTails Aviation Academy has been a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt flight school since July 2019. As a fledgling nonprofit, developing sound business practices will set up the Academy for long-term success. If you enjoy creating policies, procedures, metrics, and an electronic records management process, this is an excellent opportunity for you.
The committee is responsible for the health and functioning of the board. It recruits new members, conducts orientation, produces board materials, and evaluates the performance of the board itself. It is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the current board and for recruiting tomorrow's leaders.
